PACKAGES

Briley College Consulting, LLC offers plans to fit a variety of needs and budgets. We offer a comprehensive plan which serves high school students from their freshman year through May of their senior year. Additional plans offered are our Mini plan, the Fundamental plan, the List plan and the Essay plan.

Consulting is also offered on an hourly basis. Please contact us for additional details.

THE MINI

The Mini Package includes 3 hours of time: meeting, non-meeting (calls, emails), essay review or a combination these. The time can be used to assist in any aspect of post-secondary planning except for delivering a college list.

FUNDAMENTALS

The Fundamentals Package is designed for freshmen and sophomores who want to keep college in mind as they go through the early years of high school. Students must begin between August 1 and April 1 of freshmen year.

  • Advice on having the most productive high school years through a review of academic performance, course selection, extracurricular activities and summer plans

  • Administration of aptitude and interest assessments to guide in potential major or career interests (only available at the end of the sophomore year)

Student Writing

THE LIST

Delivery of a list of 10-15 good-match colleges based on a student's academic, social and financial factors. Guidance for making the most of remaining time in high school and for narrowing given list down to a balanced "apply" list. Students must begin The List Package between August 1 and May 31 of junior year.​

  • Advice on having the most productive junior and senior years through a review of academic performance, course selection, extracurricular activities, standardized testing timeline and summer plans

  • Interview(s) about college preferences                                                                                                

  • Administration of aptitude and interest assessments to guide in potential major or career interests (if not already administered with Fundamentals Package)

  • Delivery of an initial list of good-match colleges and/or  gap programs

  • Recommendations for investigating colleges on The List  and making the most of  campus visits

  • Recommendations for how and when to apply to final list of colleges 

  • Access to college planning software

The Essays

The essay is one of the only places a student can express their own voice on the college application. This package helps a student present his/her best self on paper. Students must begin by August 1 before senior year.

  • Guidance on the function and purpose of college essays

  • Support in the brainstorming and prewriting phases

  • Productive feedback on drafts

  • Accountability for meeting writing deadlines

College Campus

The Comprehensive

A partnership with student and parents to navigate the entire college application process. Students must begin between August 1 and May 31 of junior year.

A partnership with Seniors and parents to navigate the college application process. Assessment of student’s current college list to see if it is balanced. Students must begin before August 1 before senior year
